FIFA07 DS - Image 1FIFA07 DS - Image 2FIFA07 DS - Image 3

You've been deprived of FIFA 07 screenshots for quite a while now, with the last good set of FIFA 07 DS screenshots arriving back in August. Well, as it's release date of September 29 has passed, the chaps at Electronic Arts has decided to up the ante and release twenty-five new screenshots for the licensed football game, which will also come to pretty much every other gaming format including the ancient but classic GBA.

If you're unsure whether or not to buy FIFA 07 for the DS then this set of screenshots will be the thing that either makes or breaks your decision. What will it be? Remember that FIFA 07 introduces the EA Sports Interactive League, which allows players to kick-off against each other online, while running a real-world schedule. Also, with the DS's microphone, players can customize their very own team chants, something that you just can't do on the PSP version.

Take a peek at the screenshots and make your mind up and it appears that EA have spent time on developing the graphics for both screens, not leaving the bottom screen as a last-minute GUI that messes up the whole thing. Good luck scoring that hat-trick!

Of course, we couldn't possibly fit all 25 screenshots here...check them all out after the jump!

FIFPlay.com Site Banner

Just as soon as they have finished the last coat of paint on FIFA '07 for its fall release, EA Sports' thinking about what to do with FIFA 2008. And this time, they want to encourage you, the fans, to think some great stuff up for them. Sounds like a good idea, we wonder if they'll do this for every game in the EA stable...

Ahem, er... back to the topic. EA Sports has announced FIFPlay.com, the community website for the FIFA series, as well as the FIFA Manager titles (which are, alas, so far only on the PC). It packs feature interviews and polls; it hosts its own bug-reporting form for game glitches, and an "Ask EA!" form for the curious or inquisitive; and - this is the star of the site (we'd type it out, but a picture's worth a thousand words, right?):

FIFPlay.com: IDeas for FIFA '08!!!

FIFPlay is the brainchild of Schahryar Fekri, EA Sports' Asian consultant and online editor for FIFA football. Back last year, he started an "Ideas for FIFA 07" thread in their official forum. More than one thousand posts flooded the thread as each fan wanted to give his or her piece to the game. If that bit of history holds true today, well he's bound to expect a similar flood on FIFPlay.com.

Nope, that's not a Quidditch field!

FIFA 07 is to be released in less than a month from now by Electronic Arts. And we haven't revealed any DS screenshots yet (you can check out the PSP version here, which includes some screens and a video). Anyhoo:

Ole, ole, ole! - Image 1 Ole, ole, ole! - Image 2 Ole, ole, ole! - Image 3

With the DS, FIFA 07 will introduce the EA Sports Interactive League which will allow players to kick-off against each other online, while running a real-world schedule. Getting to play in these virtual matches will tip the scales, which will reflect on overall team scores.

Also, with the DS's microphone, players can customize their very own team chants! The PSP version doesn't have this feature, though. So, if you really want to get into the game to the point of being your own audience member rooting for your team, then maybe this would help you decide which version, DS or PSP, of the game to get (that's considering you have both DS and PSP consoles).

The title will be available for other platforms such as the Xbox, PS2, PC, GBA etc. But since you're reading this blog, surely FIFA 07 of the latest generation of portable consoles are what interests you the most. FIFA 07FIFA 07 is concentrating once again on the club circuit. The game will feature the licenses of dozens of leagues, and will introduce the new EA Sports Interactive Leagues, which allow fans to square off in online leagues based on real-world schedules.

New features have also been added to the PSP and DS versions. We've already reported on the features available in the PSP version of the game, so we'll focus instead on what the DS version offers. DS owners will be able to create their own custom chants using the console's microphone, and more precise off-the-ball running routes can be ordered with the "Touch Run" feature.

The DS version of this latest addition to the franchise will hit UK shelves on September 29. A release date for the US has yet to be announced.
