Grandma gets a new DSi LL - Image 1When it comes to the two newest gaming portables, it seems that Nintendo walked a better path than Sony. Sure, the target market may be different in some respects, with the DSi being aimed to the elderly as well, but when it comes right down to it, the new DSi LL is selling better than the PSP Go.

DSi LL - Image 1The new DSi LL may have a few features that previous models don't, but about the only feature that really sticks out is that it's larger. We've seen portables get smaller and smaller, but here we have a handheld that deliberately put on some extra weight so that granma can get in on the young'uns' toys. Nintendo DSi - Image 1Word out of Japan is that Nintendo has a new DSi iteration slated for release in the land of the rising sun later this year. There's really nothing new about this particular DSi model -- except for the fact that it's bigger than those currently out in the market.

Nintendo has revealed via Eurogamer that this just isn't possible as your Nintendo DS wares - games or applications - are exclusive only for the type of system they were brought on.
