According to the latest numbers from the Media Create marketing group in Japan, it seems like the same old tune was being played about the top contender in both the software and hardware sales charts. The numbers for the week of May 5 to May 11 revealed that both Nintendo's Mario Kart Wii and Capcom's Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G are once again the top charting titles in the country. Ubisoft has recently revealed when its freshest "Prince" will be arriving on the PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and DS. Set to be released by the third quarter of the company's fiscal year, the new Prince of Persia title will feature cel-shaded graphics unique to the series and a story not unlike Okami's "heal the world" theme. EA vehemently stated that it was "not desperate" to acquire Take Two Interactive. The latest deadline given to the Grand Theft Auto creators was due to expire this May 16 with still no response from the company.
