TOUCH!Not all of us can be hardcore gamers. And even if we are, we will come to a point when games start to feel the same. Nintendo recognize this fact. That's why they're offering a brand new gaming experience with the launch of Touch! Generations, a series of innovative new software.

Touch! Generations will appeal to people of all ages, regardless of ability or experience in the gaming arena. With its touch-screen, voice-recognition, and Wi-Fi ability, the Nintendo DS is the perfect platform to launch the software series. Because of the Nintendo DS' features, audience are taken into areas never before explored in the gaming industry.

This innovative line kicked off with the hugely-successful (and often copied) Nintendogs. Utilising the touch-screen and voice-recognition ability of Nintendo DS in a game that lets players raise, train, and look after a pet puppy, Nintendogs has now become an unprecedented success with over 2.5 million units sold in Europe and 6 million worldwide. Nintendo hopes to replicate this with another Touch! Generations title, Nintendogs Dalmatian & Friends, to be released on June 16.

Touch! Generations isn't just about taking care of dogs. Since the goal of the series is to target non-traditional gamers, a few key tiles are currently available in the US and will be available later this year in Europe. These games are:

  • Dr. Kawashima's Brain Training - June 9 - Allows users to test and train their brains.
  • Electroplankton - July 7 - Players create audio visual art with this title.
  • Big Brain Academy - July 7 - Tests a player's rational thinking and mental reaction speed.
  • Tetris DS - TBA - The classic game now comes with new and exciting modes and will make use of the Wi-Fi connection to allow players to challenge anyone around the world.

Touching other people is gay, I doubt old people will want to play these games regardless of innovation.
