Tha Half Broken Crown: The Broken Kingdoms- an MMO with a twist - Image 1

For those who are wondering about this game, The Half Broken Crown: The Broken Kingdoms is a browser-based game which is said to be playable on a multitude of systems: PC, Mac, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS, Sony PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Portable.

This game is based on the upcoming novel by Darren Reid and is being developed by nextgenbooks.com. Unlike most of the current MMOs in the market where there is a heavy sense of competition between players, this game is said to draw "upon a classic-style point and click interface and will focus upon puzzle solving and community building, eschewing combat and player death." Now I'm not sure what that means, but from the description, it looks like a Sims/puzzle type game.

It has also been announced that, on June 17, a video tutorial will go live on The Broken Kingdoms website, we should know more about it when it goes out. While waiting, be sure to check out the screenshots of the game.

I believe it's a web based game. All you need is a browser to play. That's why you can play it with so many systems.

There's already a ton of those out there though, so I'm not sure why this one in particular gets any special news.
