The-Magicbox.com reports on the reason of Tales' delay, which might have happened because online features are being implemented into the game. This would be the first time for a title of the Tales series to go online.

Not many details are known yet, except that via Wi-Fi, two to four players can undertake missions exclusively designed for the multiplayer mode.

Tales of the Tempest, to be released in Japan on June 8, revolves around Caius Qualls, a 15-year-old boy. He decides to leave his home village in search of his parents and to explore his past.

The game will feature 40 hours of play in a fully realized 3D environment, a vast number of locations to travel to, as well as an innovative combat system, something the Tales series is highly regarded for.
