THQ posts Q3 profits, hints at launch date for Red Faction and Saints Row sequels - Image 1THQ has just release details for its earnings for the  third quarter of fiscal year 2008, along with some extra details regarding Saints Row 2 and Red Faction 3.

Regarding the matter of profits, the company announced that it has earned a total of US$ 509.6 million for the said quarter. THQ further indicated that their earnings for this period were pushed along by WWE  SmackDown vs. Raw 2008, Cars: Mater-National, and MX vs. ATV Untamed .

As for the nine-month period ending December 31 last year, THQ announced net sales of US$ 843.4 million. On an interesting note, THQ president  Brian Farrell's statements in the press wire hinted on the launch date for the next installments of Saints Row and Red Factions:

We continue to strengthen our product development capabilities to support our long-term strategy of creating new owned intellectual properties. We look forward to launching Frontlines: Fuel of War at the end of this month.

In fiscal 2009, we are well positioned for increased sales and profitability with strong owned intellectual properties such as Red Faction and Saints Row and well-known licensed franchises including WWE, UFC, Disney/Pixar, and Nickelodeon.

Saints Row 2 and Red Faction 3 out by next year? It's certainly a long wait, but at least that gives us plenty of time to imagine just how they're planning to outdo franchise's GeoMod technology. We'll let you know if we receive any updates regarding this matter.

If saint's row is not in 2k8, I suppose I won't buy it. I mean, a lot of high profile games will have already popped by then, and so my money will be spent...
