Last week's game releases introduced a lot of fun games, such as Dr. Mario DX and Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness. This week, however, is the week for game ports, with Mac getting its own conversion of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (PC, PS3, Xbox 360), the Nintendo DS getting the arcade classic Super Dodgeball Brawlers, and many others.

Fans of the old computer dodgeball games from the yesteryears will be happy to know that Aksys Games will localize Super Dodgeball for the Nintendo DS straight from Japan. Much like its predecessor, Super Dodgeball will feature wacky sporting fun.

Armed with over 100 new throwing techniques, an 8-player "Brawl" mode and melee combat, you can go either for sportsmanship or sheer violence to beat your opponents. Agility and skill should be matched nicely with some well-placed kicks to the shins.

Even more amazing is the touted Team Upgrade Attack moves which will yield instant kills. Aksys Games' Super Dodgeball sure looks like it's going to spawn a lot of fun times for Nintendo DS owners and their friends.
