Are you a fan of Ragnarok and the DS? If yes, then this will most certainly make your day. XSEED Games sent out a press wire today, confirming today that Ragnarok Online DS is finally coming to North American shores later this year.
Actually, it was first talked about around the end of July 2008, with Japanese magazine Famitsu releasing scans of the said game. However, this would be the first time the game resurfaces with more concrete details specifically for the US market. It came out in Japan on December 18th of 2008. The orphan Ares is back again on his quest to adventure against the backdrop of an oncoming chaos. Mysterious Sierra, the girl who has no memory of herself, nor of the world around her, will once again accompany Ares on this world-changing journey. For the DS version, you can upgrade your character's armor and weapons by going to the blacksmith and having them refined, or by affixing effect cards dropped by defeated monsters. There will also be Status and Skill Points for ever level that you gain, which you can later use to customize your characters. And as you'll need all the help you can get with every adventure you embark on, you can call on up to two of your friends via the online feature of the game. XSEED is in partnership with GungHo for the North American publishing rights of Ragnarok Online DS, set to come out this Winter of 2009, exclusively for the DS. Related Articles: |
