Pokemon Ranger Japanese Release Date Set

The Nintendo DS has been met with great success even without the release of any "real Pokemon game for the system yet. Pokemon Mysterious Dungeon, Pokemon Trozei and Pokemon Dash are fine and all (well, maybe not Pokemon Dash), but we expect another DS explosion to begin with the release of the first traditional Pokemon RPGs, Diamond and Pearl." Check out a scan from the new game.

However, looking to launch prior to those is Pokemon Ranger, which is expected to be released in Japan on 3/23. Pokemon Ranger is set to be an action-RPG but it resembles a traditional Pokemon game as compared to the recent DS Pokemon releases. The game is rumored also to tie into the upcoming Pokemon Movie. A US release for Ranger is expected some time this year.
