Screenshot of 0xtob's Pocket Physics homebrew for DS - Image 1If you've already taken a look at at some of the neat stuff you can make out of 0xtob's Pocket Physics, then you'll be glad to know that the developer has added some new toys for people to play around with in Pocket Physics v0.2.

In particular, this latest version of the homebrew game now allows you to use pins to either hold down the objects you draw on the screen or stick two separate objects together. You can check out the other new features included in version v0.2 below:

  • Pins! Pin things to the background or pin two things together
  • Numerical fixes in Box2d => (Hopefully) better stability
  • Removed dynamic timestep adjustment => Subjectively slower, but more reproducible results
  • Standby mode
Pocket Physics was created using the Box2D physics library that the developer also ported for the DS. Anyone interested in using the same physics engine that Pocket Physics uses for their personal DS projects might also want to download Box2D, which we've provided in the download link below.
