After a rather tame period of releases from Nintendo (Wii Music failed to rock my world), things may finally be looking up for 2009. They have a lot of games lined-up, including Pokemon Platinum and Chinatown Wars for the DS, while the Wii gets MadWorld and some retro action with GameCube upgrades. Here are some of the games we can expect for the first quarter of 2009. The more notable ones are MadWorld, Final Fantasy Echoes of Time, Chinatown Wars, and the New Play Control! Games from Nintendo (their GameCube port brand). Wii Activision
Sega
Activision
Crave Entertainment

What happened to the conduit? Wasn't that set for a Q1 release.

I was wondering the same. The main games I'm interested in for 2009 are Mad World, The Conduit, and Arc Rise: Fantasia

» At least we get some good portable games
Ok, considering most of the good games on this list are coming from Nintendo, there's not a lot to be said about the Wii for 2009, unfortunately. Instead of spreading their good games out evenly throughout time, Nintendo released all their great games around the same years. Releasing Super Mario Galaxy and Metroid Prime 3 in the same month was a bad idea. Anyway, at least we get Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and Pokemon Platinum for DS. As for the math trainer, Nintendo should be ashamed they are trying to put anything to do with math on one of their consoles.

That's a pretty sad lineup.
Totally expected.
