Nintendo DS - Image 1Hold the presses: Nintendo recently announced that Enterbrain's prediction of a new DS is just "rumour and speculation."

Those who keep tabs on the Nintendo DS scene may remember Enterbrain's president, Hirokazu Hamamura, commenting about the possibility of a new DS being shown in the upcoming E3 Media Summit. The event will be held on July 15 to 17.

Aside from Hamamura's word about the new Nintendo DS, there are little to no other evidences that back up the claim, however. But it should be noted that his company, Enterbrain, also publishes the well-known Japanese gaming publication Famitsu magazine; we can't just shake off the possibility that they may have gotten their hands on some juicy tidbit.

But whatever it is, or if there's a related tidbit out there concerning the DS lurking out there, you can count on us to sniff it out. Until then, stick around for more updates.
