Earlier rumors of the DSi's release for April 4 wasn't far off - it only missed by a day. An official press release from Nintendo reveals that the DSi will be released on April 5 in North America.

The DSi will come with a US$ 169.99 price tag, and will be available in two colors at launch: Blue and Black.

Seeing how Nintendo products tend to magically disappear after 5 minutes on the shelf, you might want to line up now if you want one. The thing sold out in Japan after only two days.
