Today, Nintendo has confirmed that there was a shipment of NDS Lites stolen on their way to the UK market. At first they were just rumors, all of us hoping for it not to be true, but the truth must be told. The estimated cash value (GBP) of the shipment has been rumored to be 1.26 million, and no official figure has been released to confirm this. Nintendo did confirm the stolen shipment by stating "A number of White DS Lite made for the UK market were stolen in Hong Kong." Nintendo continued to comment, and reassure the UK market by stating - "Nintendo is making every effort to ensure that there is enough prodcut available in the UK to meet market demand at launch." Now, this may be a huge loss to Nintendo, but they are still fighting hard to supply their loyal customers! The worst part about this theft is the fact that it happened in one of the most populated cities in the world! Our wishes go out to Nintendo in hopes that they find the lost shipment!

At first, it was a rumored that Black was stolen but now, Nintendo confirms that White got stolen from HK. They suppose to ship it to UK but they lost their track. I guess, I feel sorry for them in HK and UK. Maybe they'll offer free game if they excuse to do so. :(

hey fanboy, do you even have a PSP? Doubt it. Please be more mature than that and give me a better argument to defend your system than "ALL PSP GAMES SUCK AND DS AND GP2X ARE BETTER!!"
let's look at some reasons why so many ppl buy the ds:
1. it appeals to little kids
2. parents who buy handhelds for their little kids want the cheapest one
While i'd like one of these GP2Xs because they allow homebrew (unlike damn $ony), the question is psp or ds and i say psp is better. It's a much more powerful system than the 2x or the DS, so for those lucky enough to have a homebrew-allowing one, it's the ideal handheld, if not the cheapest
i am not some Sony fanboy who loves sony and hates everything else. I actually like the Xbox/360 as well as PS2/PSP. As you can see, i actually DO have some complaints about $ony's greedy homebrew crusade, and the thing that angers me most about micro$oft is its stupid pa$$port that you have to pay for and without it ur web experience is restricted. So, i'm not a fanboy of anyone here
i just don't like the direction nintendo has gone since the gaycube in 2001. It's gotten too damn kiddy. However, "old nintendo" was great, with classiccs like Zelda: Ocarina of Time for one
more to the topic, my very negative first post here was because of the ds lite. Guess what, i actually bought a ds long before the psp was released, because of it being a 3d handheld (how awesome after being restricted to GBA for years!) and some fond memories of super mario 64
i was then angered by the release of the DS Lite. Now here's a newer design that everyone needs, and nintendo can forget about poor old original DS! Now it's no longer new or cool, because a newer and cooler gameboy is out yet again
who remembers the early days of the DS release? I was pretty excited as i read in the newspaper that nintendo was making the ds for a more mature audience. Great job on that, nintendo!

If it weren't for the few great titles this year (Metal Slug Collection, Valkryie Profile), I would probably trade my PSP in. The PMP features are horrible, and the hombrew is all that saves it (and even then, as you said, Sony tries their best to get rid of it.)
They made a new design, and you don't want to buy it? You act as if Nintendo is going to stop supporting the original design entirely. No one is saying you have to buy it because it's "new, sleek, and cool". I still prefer the DS phat. It's alot more easier to grip.

as for the psp, i am enjoying battlefront II and SOCOM on the psp, and i look forward to getting GTA: LCS (all run with umd loaders on my 1.5). However, what's keeping me, as with you, is homebrew. There's some promising stuff on the horizon like a good version of daedalus and iris. I might get one of these GP2Xs because i went to the homepage and i like that company MUCH more! However, to make one thing clear, I AM NO $ONY FANBOY!!

ANY game is meant to be fun and challenging. Enough.
If anyone needs to cut down on remodeling, it's Apple. Nintendo is in it to make money. That's business. To make more money any way they can. They are following some aspects of Apple, but they won't go crazy remodeling each year or so. Give Nintendo credit. They're not stupid.

I really despised the load times. Note to any one making a portable: Eliminate load time. There is no need for that on a handheld. That's another thing Nintendo did greatly.
In the end, it's the software which Nintendo has alot more. Don't forget that the DS can run homebrew too but the scene is not as popular as PSP.

I'm no expert, but try working on SOMETHING ELSE rather than this hyped-up new model. Nintendo just pisses me sometimes. Yes the games are kiddy, and pretty much have been forever. However, at least the older games were FUN. Nintendogs, as well as all ds games that have 100 buttons on the touch screen that u have to look away from the actual game to find, are just annoyingly boring and repetitive. Like ppl said, it's just my opinion, don't argue
