When the idea of the NinjaDS emerged, several Nintendo DS owners dubbed it as a fake, as a hoax. Well apparently, they were dead wrong...but still, who can blame them right? The NinjaDS, in case you have got no clue about it, aims to be an all-in-one NDS homebrew device that functions pretty much the same way as your average NDS/GBA flashcarts and adapters, allowing you to execute .nds files.

You may be thinking that it's just the same as other NDS dev products, but let me point out that unlike the others, the NinjaDS will function as a Passme/Passkey device and a SD card adapter. Plus, NinjaDS will not waste up your GBA slot, so you can still use it for a whole lot of other things that you please. It is a common belief that this one will be bundled with a ton of NDS software such as a built-in MP3 player, WiFi file transferring utility, and development-friendly software.

The good news is that Team Ninja (the guys responsible for the NinjaDS) announced that this contraption is production ready. They have released some pics of the NinjaDS that will pretty much resemble the end product. Its release is expected in the coming weeks so watch out for that. For now, feel free to marvel at some of its pics.

I just hope its not too exspensive like those other flash carts. :(

 » Kudos, but...

... it sticks out of the DS slot by an inch or more. Why have something like that when there are flash carts coming that fit completely into the DS Lite's GBA slot? You wouldn't be able to stick this in your pocket without taking it out of the DS every time.

photoboy, this is what I want, I don't care about having to remove it everytime and putting it in an Smint box ¬.¬

anyway... the questions...

WHERE?
WHEN?
HOW MUCH?

There will also be a U-shaped version too that they have on their site. That is what I would get if I was getting this.

Sure, seems like a good idea and all. But until it fits completely within the DS slot, it will remain more impractical than passme/flashcart or flashme/flashcart combinations.

 » The other problem...

... I just thought, you probably can't play GBA games with this either. No Mario World, Metroid Zero Mission, Zelda III, Kuru Kururin or any other favourites...

This guy took my story about them gearing up for production and changed it to his own words, lol. Those pictures came from me, the only other place they are posted are at maxconsoles site (there not even posted on NinjaDS website) so I assume thats where he lifted the pics. No big deal, he is welcome to use the info and pics, I just ask that he gives proper credit to where he gets his info.
