The only thing that's really missing from a true Speed Racer trailer is someone humming the theme song from the old cartoon. That being said though, we don't mind if you turn down the sound of this new trailer for Speed Racer: The Videogame (Wii, DS), and just hum the melody.

In this action-packed trailer for the game, you'll see the Mach 5 and Shooting Star (Racer X's car, in case you didn't know) take on foes on the track and sometimes above it. Strangely enough, the cars in this game have a tendency to be in mid-air almost as much as they're on ground, but it's nice to see that the frenetic feeling of speed hasn't lessened one bit.

In any event, you can expect the video game to come out on May 6, so you may want to hone your driving skills now in anticipation of the game's release.
