The NeoFlash Spring Coding Competition 2006 has officially ended and the entries for the competition have been all entered. There are several new homebrew applications and games released for this very competition, and all look very good.

The competition was open to all developers, new and old, for the PSP and NDS systems. The competition started a few months ago and was supposed to end on the 20th of February, but it got postponed to the 20th of this month (March). This postponed date was a wise choice as it allowed for several more competition entries into each category and resulted in a large outcome of games and applications.

Look forward to news reports on all these fantastic entries in the next few hours, here at PSPUpdates and QJ.NET!

The NeoFlash Spring Coding Competition 2006 contained simple rules:

NDS competition rules:

1) You can enter the GAME contest and APP contest both.
2) You must put our splash screen of "NEO spring coding contest 2006" to your production in the opening screen.
3) Any project are welcome, we don't have any limit.
4) If your project has been released in another compo already, you still can join our compo too.
5) All enter must come with the screen shoot and the project description and the user guide, otherwise we will reject it.

PSP competition rules:

1) We have APP contest for PSP only (no gaming category).
2) You must put our splash screen of "NEO spring coding contest 2006" to your production in the opening screen.
3) Any APP project are welcome, for example the TEXT viewer / EMU / Media player ... we don't have any limit.
4) If your project have release in another compo already, you still can join our compo too.
5) All enter must come with the screen shoot and the project description and the user guide, otherwise we will reject it.

The contest officially ended today, and the winners will be announced at a later time. There are quite a few entries in each category, and there are quite a few prizes for the winners as well!

Prizes (10 NDS winners and 10 PSP winners):

1st Place winner: Microsoft Xbox 360 deluxe version whole set
2nd & 3rd Place winners: Neo-PSP 4in1 mini converter + 4GB HD whole set OR Neo-MAX 16Gb whole set (winner can choose)
4th – 10th Place winners: Neo-PSP 4in1 mini converter whole set OR Neo-Max 1Gb whole set (winner can choose).

Good luck to all the developers who have entered into this competition. The entries for this year's Spring Competition all seem to deserve first place, but as we all know, there can only be one winner for each category! Once again, best of luck to everyone and may the best app/game for the NDS and the PSP win!

 » Keep these ideas comming!

Congradulations on the contest for all of those who not only entered, but also for those who took care of the project. In the world of multimedia, a deadline is always THE BEST solution for things to be done!

Keep it up. I'm personnaly wainting for these projects to be revealed :-p

Yeah i agree with contests really helping homebrew.. How about atwist on the next one - whatever that'll be...

The entries have to work on 2.6

That'll drive people to find alternatives methods, and drive production forward!
