Nancy Drew proves to stand the test of time, and this detective chick that originated back in the 30s even gets her own DS game. Majesco Entertainment's Nancy Drew and the Deadly Secret of Olde World Park will be hitting Nintendo's handheld to take us through this ass-kicking teenage (she was a teenager back in the 30s, at least) babe's adventures.

What promises to be a challenging title developed by Gorilla Systems Co. also looks good, judging by the screenshots we have. Using the Stylus, we'd imagine the game will be pretty intuitive. There's a notebook on the bottom of the screen with easily accessible buttons, which should help a lot in solving crimes.

The story is all about Nancy trying to solve the mystery of a missing billionaire, Thaddeus Belmont. Expect some serious interrogations, puzzle solving, bribing, and more when Nancy Drew and the Deadly Secret of Olde World Park hits the shelves later this year.

Nancy Drew, that old bastion of female derring-do and mystery-solving ability, is getting all set to make her debut on the Nintendo DS in Nancy Drew and The Deadly Secret of Olde World Park, a new game from Majesco Entertainment. In the game, players take on the role of Nancy drew as she works to solve the mystery of the missing billionaire, Thaddeus Belmont. The game's features include the following:
  • Nancy Drew - Image 1Unique graphic novel format pays homage to the classic book series that introduced Nancy Drew to the world
  • Use the Touch Screen to play conversation and unlocking mini-games. Nancy also accesses clues, tasks, maps and inventory information with the stylus.
  • Unravel more than 15 intriguing chapters as Nancy completes progressively difficult tasks including: delivery missions, push puzzles, following suspects, sneaking, interrogations, accessing areas, inspecting items and more
  • Solve an array of logic and action puzzles along the way to reveal clues
  • Unique conversation mini-game helps Nancy build a rapport with witnesses and suspects so she can learn critical information for the case. Choose how you want to talk to another character (neutral, light hearted, friendly, interrogatory or accusatory) to determine the tone of the conversation and information revealed
  • Nancy can even bribe a character if necessary (not THAT kind of bribery, of course)
  • Use the shadows to sneak past danger areas and avoid detection
  • Use your lock picking skills to sneak into areas to search for clues
  • Use Nancy’s Clue Journal to check current objectives and discover new information
Will George and Bess be in the game too? We expect that they'll make appearances. Nancy Drew and The Deadly Secret of Olde World Park is being developed by Gorilla Systems Co. and scheduled for worldwide release later this year.
