Activision announces their latest offering to gamers: Marvel Ultimate Alliance. Developed by Raven Software (Jedi Knight 2 and Jedi Academy) and C.B. Cebulski, this RPG/Action game will feature over 140 of our favorite Marvel characters to be seen with over 20 playable. Take the role of your favorite hero such as Spider-Man, Wolverine, Blade, or Captain America (I hope Daredevil is there) as you save the world from diabolical plans and crimes. Once you've assembled your heroes, you get to create a team name, icon and choose your very own vehicle. Leveling-up can be done playing as an individual character, or using your group to keep everyone balanced. "Marvel: Ultimate Alliance delivers a new twist on action/RPGs where players’ actions and choices ultimately determine what happens to the Marvel universe,” stated Will Kassoy, Vice President of Global Brand Management for Activision. The game also features multiplayer capabilities where friends can team up with friends as their favorite Marvel Super Heroes, and fight evil in both on and offline cooperative story modes. There’s also a Competitive Mode where the game tracks various in-game stats so players can see how well they stack up against one another – affecting the amount of experience points earned and how equipment is distributed. Marvel: Ultimate Alliance will be the first Super Hero game out for all next-gen gaming systems, and will also be available on current-gen, handheld and PC platforms. |
