Since time immemorial, man has always been known to have this compulsion to just mark something as his own by customizing it according to his needs and preferences. That carries over until now, especially in this modern age when we have all these nifty, shiny toys to play with. Hence, mods were born. |

the D-Pad up button. Almost all new DS lites have problems with the Up arrow on the D-Pad. To make it work you have to push it really hard. This is noticeable when playing FPS games like Golden Eye, Metroind Prime, and other shooting games, even animal crossing. I hope this is better.
i didn't know the ds has goldeneye title.
hehehe
This is one of the weirder mods out there. I think it would be sort of distracting to have bright lights under your fingers while playing, but if your screen is right there too, maybe it wouldn't be so bad.
No offense but personally I think it sucks. I think it would be a little distracting, maybe if the light color was a soft blue it would look cooler.
Ok the led's are actualy soft blue the camcorder I used to recored it for some reason the ires takes in too much light if you look at this picture of how it actualy look in natural light.. http://www.acidmods.com/forum/gallery/1_18_11_06_9_20_25.JPG
i thought it was funny when he scratched himself
I Wish mine was like that but thats really sweet
doesn't that drain the battery light?
Yes true but we're talking about 2x leds with maybe a resistor or two which wouldn't add that much more battery load at all. I doubt that the difference between a non modded and this on'es battery life would be the same still.
Actually He used 5 leds not 2 because each button has its own led. I too have put leds in my ds and the battery drainage is almost the same as normal due to the little amout of energy the leds have. The video makes the leds look alot brighter than they really are. I will be posting my DS lite led mods on this site too as soon as I recieve my clear case from www.nds-central.com
If the bright light is a problem, you can always use a lower spectrum color like red. Probably why you see so many cars with (not a personal favorite) red backlit gauges. But yah, like Rocky said, LED's use very little voltage at all, PLUS they last a long time ;-) . Not too mention you can put them just about anywhere due to their size. I put a couple in the heat vents of my Mustang :D .
