Jordan Mechner, the creator of Karateka and the Prince of Persia series of games, has submitted a trademark application for Prince of Persia Prodigy. Word on the street is that this may be the title of the next PoP game from Ubisoft Montreal.

Not much has been revealed about this upcoming game as of yet, although it might be interesting to see if Mechner will be taking a more active role in the development of this game as compared to Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones.

That said, there's really not much we can do but wait for some official word from Ubisoft or even from Mechner regarding this upcoming game.
