We may not have received info about Jenga for both Nintendo Wii and DS as of late, but it looks like the virtual versions of this fun boardgame are still revving up for their announced November release date. Atari just released the first screenshots of Jenga for the DS, and we have to say that they're looking quite good.

Our previous coverage of Jenga only had images of the Wii version, and the lack of DS pics had us worrying that the Jenga title for the DS may not push through after all. But here they are, all crisp and nice and only a month away from it's upcoming November release.

We do hope that this game will have Wi-Fi Connection enabled. Check back for more updates!

Atari has confirmed that it's indeed working on a video game version of the block game Jenga for the Nintendo Wii and the Nintendo DS. Using the innovative controls of the two platforms, players are expected to experience the same thrills and spills that the real game has to offer.

If you're not familiar with the game, Jenga has players building a tower of wooden blocks at the start. When the tower is standing firm and complete, the players take turns removing one block at a time.

As the tower loses blocks, players must be ever more careful not to allow the whole thing to fall. If it crashes, you lose. Pokonobe Associates' Paul Eveloff added:

We are very pleased that Atari is now bringing Jenga’s universal entertainment appeal to video gamers worldwide. This new platform will extend the opportunity to play Jenga to video gamers and generate exceptional new play experiences. Jenga will be shipping in November for the two Nintendo platforms and is recommended for players of all ages. The screens in this post were taken from the game's Wii version.
