Crap and *****, my words exactly.
I don't see why the DS and Wii keep outselling the PSP and PS3 (well, as there's a lack of PS3 exclusive right now, I guess I can understand, but still)

» its different in Asia
In Asia its radically different in general to Europe or the States.
Owning a cart in Japan is not common. In Tokyo its faster and more efficient with the metro and busses. Thousands of people flip open their handheld games box and pass the time closing it upon arrival. No need to boot or shutdown the system is a huge advantage. Living area is also so much smaller for at least 90% of the population with regard to western living environments, space is a real premium.
Small and convenient is far more important than mega video screens and a console with a footprint bigger than most compact DVD hifi systems.
We can view these small games gadgets as inferior but that is because we do not regard the small size and mobility as important as Asians do. They would probably agree that the PS3 and the 360 have better games better graphics and better sound but it does not match their requirements so therefore it is irrelevant. They choose what suits their needs best not what is regarded as the
best.
