High School Musical - Image 1Disney fans, here are the latest updates and newest games announced for 2007. If you missed Disney's first lineup of games, check out our E3 update!

Power Rangers: Super Legends, available this November, engages players in battle and solving puzzles through their beloved Power Rangers heroes. The game will be priced at $29.99 for the Nintendo DS and the PS2, and $19.99 for the PC.

Fans can go on an adventure in the Tipton Hotel in The Suite Life of Zack & Cody: Circle of Spies for the Nintendo DS. They can use gadgets as they infiltrate a secret spy organization in a rival hotel. The game will be available in October for $29.99.

Two new games based on Disney's hit "High School Musical" will be available this August. High School Musical: Sing It! is a karaoke game to be released on the Wii and the PlayStation 2. The game includes 30 songs to sing along to and allows fans to interact with the movie's cast. The Wii game will be packaged with a microphone for US$ 59.99, and the PS2 version will be packaged for $49.99 with a microphone and $39.99 without one. High School Musical: Makin' the Cut! will be released on the Nintendo DS, letting fans dance to the beat of "High School Musical" and "High School Musical 2," and will be available for $29.99.

Another rising new pop star will be the inspiration for two new video games. Hannah Montana: Spotlight World Tour will be transporting fans to locations around the world, managing concerts and dancing on stage. Hannah Montana: Spotlight World Tour will be available for the Wii in October for $49.99. Hannah Montana: Music Jam will be challenging players both on stage and off it. Players have to balance their lives and their careers as Hannah Montana: Music Jam in the Nintendo DS and will be available in October for $29.99.

The last of Disney's singing sensations for this year's lineup is The Cheetah Girls: Pop Star Sensations. Sensations can sing and dance to the beat on their Nintendo DS through the Cheetah Girls. Players need to help the girls in their song writing, fashion and of course, singing and dancing. The Cheetah Girls: Pop Star Sensations will be out in October for $29.99.

7 screenshots of High School Musical and the first microphone for the Wii - Image 1

High School Musical: Sing It, the Wii version of the game based on Disney's High School Musical, caught our attention with the release of the first image of the microphone being bundled with the game. Needless to say, this game features karaoke-style gameplay with songs popularized by the Emmy award winning TV musical.

Aside from allowing players to sing along with the music, the Wii version does the game one better with motion-captured choreography from the original High School Musical. Speaking of choreography, the NDS version of the game focuses on this more than the Wii version.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like singing will be in the DS version. It would have been pretty cool though if we could get a microphone for the NDS and sing along, but there's always the possibility of a second release right?

The game is slated for an August 14 release this year. Be sure to keep checking back for more updates on the High School Musical games. While waiting for the release, you may want to check out some of the screenshots from High School Musical: Hit Maker, the DS version of the game, by clicking on the "Full Article" link.

And with "real soon," we mean August 15, 2007. An official press release just made available recently had Disney Interactive Studios announcing two separate titles - with one coming to the Nintendo Wii and Sony PS2, and another to the Nintendo DS handheld - probably as a pre-cursor to the launching of "High School Musical 2" coming later this year.

Enter your TITLE here...High School Musical titles coming to DS, Wii real soon - Image 1

The Wii and PS2 will get High School Musical: Sing It!, a blend of the original "High School Musical" plot, theme, and songs, with some songs exclusive to the "High School Musical 2" movie. They have been confirmed to come with their own microphones in special packages priced at US$ 59.99 for a Wii Special Edition (coupled with a "High School Musical" branded microphone from Logitech) and US$ 49.99 for a PS2 bundle with mic or a plain US$ 39.99 without one.

ESRB rated "E" for Everyone, Sing It! will also feature a party mode where singing aspirants face-off against each other karaoke-style, while a story mode will nudge players through the plot of the movie and sing arrangements made popular by the Disney Original film.

High School Musical: Makin' the Cut is targeted for the DS and will revolve around a musical rhythm game that allows players to select characters from the movie or create their own. Also bundled with songs exclusive to "High School Musical 2" to total a whopping 12 songs, players can get to create their own music videos and share them with friends. The title is also ESRB rated "E" for Everyone, sporting a US$ 29.99 price tag.

High School Musical on the Wii and Nintendo DS - Image 1Disney Interactive Studios just sent an email around, confirming of the High School Musical game coming out both for the Wii and NDS. It's going to be released this August and each platform version will be having its own unique features and exclusive content.

For the Wii version, you'll be singing your way - solo or duet - through the original movie and its sequel. There's also a couple of bonus tracks lined up from other Disney Channel stars. There's also going to be a dance aspect incorporated into the game, including motion-captured production numbers from the movie.

As for the Nintendo DS version, you'll be traveling across America to compete in a musical competition. Whether you chose to assume the role of one of the six High School Musical characters or create your own, you'd be able to sing and dance along with the movie's songs and even create your own music video, which can be shared with your other HSM friends.

As of now, there's still not much about the supposed microphone peripheral that's being developed for this Wii version, but we're sure to give you guys more updates and game content in the future. Better keep your heads in the game, kids.
