Tonetex from DemonHades has posted a video up at YouTube showing his multiplayer hack of the DSi. According to the notes at the beginning of the video, you will be needing a DS unit (any type: Fat, Lite, DSi), M3 DS Real with the M3 Sakura OS. Video embedded after the jump.

Japanese coder Yasusoft seems to have managed to hack the DSi handheld already. Man, already? The story is this: He was able to borrow his friend's unit (he didn't have his own because the units sold out after launch!), and after three days, he was successful in running unsigned code: a "Hello World" app in the Photo Channel. Nintendo and its software partners have finally put their feet down on Japanese distributors selling the Chinese-made R4 device. A lawsuit has been filed in a Tokyo District Court on the grounds of the Unfair Competition Law. Details after the jump.

The Team Cyclops dev team have recently come out with version 1.3 final of their CycloDS Evolution card for the Nintendo DS. This new build incorporates a Realtime save feature as well as improved stability. Details are in the full article.

We've received word that the R4 DS team has released version 1.16 of their flashcart's kernel. Much like the previous update, this release also appears to fix an issue with one of the DS' games. Details on what the update does are in the full article.

Just a few days after releasing CycloDS Evolution for the community's perusal, Team Cyclops has just announced more releases DS owners may want to take heed of. The first announcement is about the release of Evolution's new firmware 1.1, which will carry these news changes:

• Enabled the cheat code functionality
• Resolved several compatibility issues
• Fixed download play with Yoshi Touch & Go
• Minor improvements to the user interface
  

The second release of the day should interest more media-savvy owners, as Team Cyclops has made available a special version of Moonshell v1.71 for the Evo - it's expected to work without a hitch. Lastly, there's also a new user's guide available for reading. The guide should provide new owners with all the important data they will need to get the most out of the card.

The DS version of the PC RPG Maple Story has not only been re-confirmed by its Korean gaming developer Nexon, the company even gave it a release date: sometime September 2007.

News of Maple Story for the DS first surfaced at E3 2006. Since then the buzz died down until these recent info came out. According to resurrected buzz, Nexon has a dedicated team headed by the company's Managing Director Hyong-No Kim working on the game.

The DS version will stick to the game's PC gameplay such as the variation of jobs, skills, and battle system. But new elements aimed specifically for Nintendo's bestselling handheld will be added. Maple Story will be a side-scrolling action RPG with an avatar code system.

Maple Story DS will be released in a special DS bundle initially in Korea. Don't worry, the game will also be available in Europe, US, Japan, and Australia.
