Yuri and Chelinka in Ring of Fates - Image 1For all you fans of the Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles series who live in PAL territories, here's good news: Square Enix Ltd. has just announced that Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates for the Nintendo DS will be released across PAL territories come spring of 2008.

John Yamamoto, president and CEO of Square Enix Ltd. lauded Ring of Fates in his statement:

With a strong focus on action and exploration Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates offers an exciting, fast-paced adventure. If you’ve never played a Final Fantasy game before, Ring of Fates is the perfect introduction and offers even more fun when played with friends.

Ring of Fates follows the adventures of twins Yuri and Chelinka as they strive to protect their homeland from the evil of the blood red moon. Contrary to what we've been told before, the game will take advantage of the Nintendo DS Wi-Fi Connection, allowing up to four players to team up and cooperate with each other in this epic adventure.

FFCC: Cystal Bearers from Square Enix for the Wii - Image 1Here's a CG sequence from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates. The video shows the twins Yuri and Chelinka with their father Latov. The video is a little shaky - it wasn't recorded straight off the TV - and there's no sound. But still, a sneak preview is a sneak preview.

Told like something out of the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm (the sequence looks like something from Hansel and Gretel actually) the sequence shows the start of the twins' adventures. The video starts with the twins in the forest, with their father testing their abilities.

Because the video autoplays, the video can be found in the full article.
