if i was buying a console... i would rather have the opportunity to be able to play GTAIV and Gran Turismo Prologue available on the same month and then be able to play MGS4 roughly a month or two after that... NOW THAT IS GAMING!

There could be something to the shortages response, as my local bestbuys and futureshops only have elites in stock....pros and arcades are sold out...
Perhaps MS is trying to clear out the 90nm boxes so they can fill up stores with 65nm's...

I don't own either. I don't support Sony or MS.
However, I'm convinced Ps3 will win, because, games games n more games are not better than quality.
IMO quality is beter than quantity. I'm planning on buying a Ps3 this summer and i'm sure there will be ALOT of games for the Ps3 by that time, i checked some sites and found 20 to be intresting and they will be released by this summer or in the beginning of 2009 so for me a Ps3 is better.
However, the 360 IS good and ps3 fanboys should admit that. 360 is a VERY powerfull console and still hasn't been taped into it's full potential. It will be hard to win against.
I know for sure the Wii is the next Ps2 and it will win the war, but it can't compete with the quality of Ps3 and 360 AT ALL, and it's kinda childish for a guy at my age, but then again if anybody wants quality games and worthwhile then 360 or Ps3 r the best and from these.
The reason why Ps3 IS better is because of Cell. It's too powerful to compete with. Cell is pretty much unbeatable. The second reason why Ps3 is better is because it won the format war. If it didn't i would have bought a 360 cuz it would be cheaper with nearly the same content ( i haven't watched a HD-DVD or Blu-Ray yet so i don't know the diference).
360 owners are lucky to have this console with ALOT of exclusives, and the Ps3 owner should be happy for the two next months your patience will be rewarded with two great games. :D

Id rather spend my money on a console with great games and online play then spend an extra £40 on a console with very few exlusive games and that has very similar graphics to the PS3.

I still think that the PS2 is winning, it continues to sell and there are so many more PS2s out there than anything else.
I remember reading a few months back that there will be a new PS2, basically the same as the slimline but with an internal power supply.
