Resident evil 5 - Image 1Let's face it, one of the selling points of every console is the video games that it holds exclusively in its yard. It's part of every manufacturer's corporate strategy and is something not likely to go away soon. If it were up to the more level-headed gamers, however, a lot of them would like to play big titles on every console.

Famitsu, one of Japan's leading game magazines, recently released results from their poll and it seems that Japanese gamers want to see a lot of PS3 exclusives make an appearance on the Wii and the Xbox 360, along with a few others. Here are the games they picked:

1. Final Fantasy XIII - Square Enix's flagship series is a PS3 exclusive, and there's nothing to suggest that would ever change, but fans point to the still relatively small market share of Sony's high-end machine and say that the title could be a much bigger hit if it sold on the Xbox 360. Still, Sony and its loyal fans say that the market share of the PS3 will grow significantly once the title hits the racks.

2. Metal Gear Solid 4 - Hideo Kojima may already have chosen the PS3 as his proverbial theater for his latest tactical espionage thriller, but that didn't faze fans a bit in their quest to see Snake on the Xbox 360 and the Wii. It may never happen, but just the thought of using those CQC moves with a Wiimote makes me drool.

3. Biohazard (Resident Evil) 5 - The game that started with zombies and ended up with bug-infested Spanish villagers is thankfully headed for the Xbox 360 and the PS3, but it's pretty sad to think that the game following the highly successful Resident Evil 4 (which was first released on the GameCube) won't show up on the Wii. Even the younger crowd needs to learn how to surgically remove heads with a shotgun sometime, right?

4. Monster Hunter 3 - It's another PS3 exclusive, but this one is a clear favorite for the Japanese to go multiplatform. The Nippon are obviously obsessed about hunting with friends in Xbox Live and using the Wiimote to bag their prey.

5. Dragon Quest IX - After the Toriyama-inspired RPG Dragon Quest VIII became the phenom that it was on the PS2, many are disappointed that it would end up being a DS-only title. We know how crazy Japan is over this series, and it's not hard to imagine what a holiday it would be if it crosses over to the consoles. The game community would have its face rocked.

 » ok here's the thing...

i don't really care about all these "exclusive-multiplatform" thing... all i want is to be able to enjoy my console, play the games i like and have a continuous supply of games to get me thru... i think that's fair...

i don't play games, like for exampla Final Fantasy or MGS, and think "wow this is a freakin kick a*s game!!! good thing the xbots can't play these in their consoles"... no it's not that and personally i think it's wrong... i think we should all have a grand experience when it comes to gaming since we work hard day-in and day-out and we earned the money we used to buy our consoles (except Mr. Common Sense who's mom can only afford an XBox)...

if the XBots want to feel the exhiliration that i feel when i play these games then good for them!!! they definitely deserve enjoyment on their console...

but the thing that gets to me though are the XBots gloating everytime there is noise regarding exclusives going multiplatform (like DMC4)... saying "oh ur PS3 is useless... oh we're now better than you..."

i mean what's that sh*t for???? why do XBots feel the need to always prove themselves... these guys are so insecure it makes me sick... most of these pips are kids anyway cause parents don't really go out and buy their child the high-priced PS3... but tell you honestly most young professionals here in Sydney has the PS3... this probably partly explains all the immaturity from these XBox fans.

What are you trying to prove?
You are insecure, that's why you're here.
You can't admit you wasted $600 to play year old XBOX 360 hand me downs.

Denial is unhealthy.

dont worry the 180 fans will shut up come e3 2007 and throught 2007 and the rest of the next gen war why do you keep saying the ps3 install base is low of course it is it just came out less than 6 months ago i guarantee the ps3s install base wouldve already outsold nintedo wiik and 180 if sony wouldve showed the systems true capabilities sooner guaranteed but they will be doing that soon thanks to EDGE tools the next gen war will shift much sooner than you believe

i'm sorry to say but i've actually got two PS3's, one in my room and another in my entertainment centre (together with a wii and a 360)... i chose to get a PS3 for my room for obvious reasons... trust me when i say i've got i love my PS3 and unlike most people i can compare being an owner of other consoles...

it is people like u who are insecure... knowing he only has one shot at a console and it's a make or break deal... me i couldn't care less... it's just the XBot's attitude that ticks me off... as i said most of u are just kids... tell ur parents to work more hours ok... anyway ur parent's yearly income may just be my tax for a month's worth of work.

Actually, I bought my ps3 because I enjoy the library of games the PS2 had and losing the exclusives really annoys me because I bought my ps3 for those same games on the PS3. I bought a wii for the 1st party titles not 3rd party. I have a PS3 for that. I don't want GeOW, Crackdown, or Halo 3. I want games like Shadow of the Colossus and Monster Hunter 3. The stuff the PS2 was known for.

» Japanese still Remember Hiroshima. 360 gamers are redneck, racists who don't want cultural diversity in their games

The reason why japanese and cultural centric games like Japanese RPG's don't do well on Microsoft systems are because the fanbase at large are ignorant American pricks. It's not only XBOX Live which showcases the racism and ignorance of typical Xbox fans, nearly 80% of all online games played on Live I guarantee you will hear the word "*****" and "jew" used a lot (*watches an XBOT smirk and giggle*), you will see the ignorance reflected in game sales of cultural specific games, games starring ambiguous looking men and other such traits of the Japanese game -- Xbots can't stand it. Xbots don't want cultural diversity, they just want action games, they just want to shoot the same thing over and over in the same way.

will continue this another time, can't be arsed right now :D
