Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings logo - Image 1Square Enix just announced that Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings for the Nintendo DS will ship to Europe and other PAL territories come February 15, 2008. Vaan, Penelo, Fran, and Balthier return a year after the events of Final Fantasy XII on the Sony PlayStation 2 to continue their lives as sky pirates.

Having been released in other parts of the world, it's almost common to know about the game as a real-time strategy title for the Nintendo handheld. Naysayers frown at the thought of having to control troops on their tiny screens, but generally positive reviews of FFXII's sequel should say much about how fun traversing the skies of Ivalice can be.

Square Enix' FFXII: Revenant Wings for Europe comes in French, Italian, German, or Spanish, with adjusted difficulty settings to make the experience accessible by everyone. If you're looking to put the Nintendo DS to the test with an RTS, or simply need to discover what happens to Vaan and Penelo when they become full-pledged sky pirates, might as well give Revenant Wings a shot.
