Emotiv EPOC neuroheadset Beta evaluators needed - Image 1If you want to be part of breaking barriers when it comes to gaming innovations, you might want to try your hands on, rather your heads, as a beta evaluator for Emotiv's EPOC neuroheadset.

Judging alone from the picture shown, it's one gadget that's definitely cutting-edge when it comes to redefining controllers for games.

Testing sessions will be conducted from March to April 2008 in the Emotiv offices in San, Francisco, California. Don't worry about the testing since it will just involve non-invasive product usability testing and brain recordings.

Now, if you are able to complete a documented evaluation session, you will be given a significant discount on the early edition Emotiv EPOC neuroheadset kit. If ever you get chosen to be a participant, not only will you have bragging rights but a pretty good discount on this gadget as well.

So if you're interested, feel free to check out the finer details in the source link below. Don't forget to come back to QJ for more news!

 » WHOA !

Dude !!! Very matrix man !!!

This could be like the coolest thing ever...
Only it would've been even cooler if they wouldn't have told us about it until it was nearly ready to be released...

Guess we'll get to test this toy somewhere in 2009...
Wonder how long it'll take before we actually plug things in our bodies...

What do you guys think ?

Whatever happened to asking people in the uk to beta test it as always we are left out in the cold and then they expect us to pay a stupid price yes i meant price for things like this.

What the hell are you smoking, Jozz2006?

Why would a CALIFORNIA based company bring their product to the UK for testing?

Does that really make ANY sense at all?
I don't think it does.

You're just upset and jealous because you don't get to try this new toy before a few lucky Americans.

Don't be too bitter about it.
I'm sure if you save your pocket money, you'll have ample money to purchase one yourself when they're released.

 » Brain Recordings?

Anyone watch that llie detector game show on tv "The Moment Of Truth"? It's pretty funny. This headset kind of reminds me of that. Whats next, a suit you wear that beats you senseless while your wearing this headset and thinking bad thoughts. Also reminds me of those dog shock collars. Why not add one of those too for the ultimate rush? :p

Still, it's not like I'd go to test my "brain waves"... :S

Still, this is a good tech, it would be cool if one day we could control without controllers, lol.

Unfortunately, I don't live in California either, but I'm seriously considering purchasing this peripheral. I'll probably read a few reviews beforehand, but I'd love to try something like this out. If It's just as fluid as a mouse is, it might save a lot of desk space, among other things. I wish I could get that nice discount, though...

Hell, for $100 round trip I could fly there! In fact, if I can guarantee a seat I just might do that. Fun weekend trip!
