So who's on top? If you're asking hardware, that'd be the PSP. Over one and a half million units sold, man! Meanwhile, on the software side of things, it's a different story. |

The Sony PSP once again proves that it is now the king of the Japanese hardware hill by keeping its top spot in the Japanese hardware sales chart for the week of July 21to 27. The Nintendo DS follows, with a bevy of software crowding the top 50 software sales chart...and yes, Dragon Quest V is still top dog among other games. The list in the full article. |

It won't be surprising if Square Enix doesn't have plans of releasing the Dragon Quest remakes for the Nintendo DS outside Japan, since the rest of the world is likely to frown at old-school RPGs. However, fans of the legendary franchise may actually be lucky enough to grab a U.S. version of Dragon Quest V. See the full article for details. |

In this day and age, when all sides are bantering about which machine can dish out the best eye-bleeding graphics, we have to go back to the roots of gaming. Square Enix had that in mind, which ultimately led to the decision of developing three Dragon Quest remakes for the DS. Ah, yes. What more can we ever wish from Squeenix except remakes of classics Dragon Quest IV, V and VI? Not long after Famitsu confirmed the magic three, SE have already put up a teaser site for the upcoming games. Not much info are there yet, especially not for those who can't understand Japanese, but we'll make sure to keep you posted on any updates. Head over the Read link to find the site. |
