Square Enix has finally dated Dragon Quest 5 for the Nintendo DS. According to the game's official website, the game will be released in Japan on July 17.

For those who aren't familiar with the game, it is a remake of the original Dragon Quest V which was released for the Super Nintendo back in 1992. We can probably expect the same turn-based combat system and traditional RPG elements to be in the game.

No word on whether or not the game will be released in other regions aside from Japan. Regardless, the RPG fans here in the QJ.NET staff are hoping that it will.
