Nitro Engine - Image 1

Nitro Engine is actually a 3D engine designed to make the 3D game-making process easier for the Nintendo DS. Neat. It has a very basic physics engine now, but developer AntonioND is planning on improving that. Anyway, here are its other features:
  • Loads models and textures from FAT
  • Dual 3D, as easy as normal 3D
  • Can load BMPs of 8, 16, and 24 bits, and converts them into textures
  • Has hardware-accelerated effects such as fog and toon shading
  • Can take screenshots of both screens in dual 3D, or the 3D screen in normal 3D mode
  • Animated model support
  • 2D over 3D system
  • API functions
  • 2D text in 3D mode, any character size allowed
More things to come in his next update, although AntonioND didn't specify what exactly. He's open to suggestions, so drop the guy an IM or two if you want to help out.
