One can say that when one of the gaming industry's best mascot celebrates his birthday, he should do it in a whole shebang! Hence, beyond selling the game for the Nintendo DS, fans of Crash can also get special stylus of our furry friend as a gift. This stylus pens doesn't come as a limited edition version of the game, but rather, the first stock of the game comes with this special gift. However, as the article puts it, once the stock runs outs, then that's it.

More so, the article updates us on what else we can do in the Crash Bandicoot Festival. Finally, they clarify on what gaming system they will implement on the main race. It seems that a board system (much like the older Crash Bandicoot games) will be implemented for this game.

There are over 80 stages in the game that you can go to. Forty of these stages are interchangeable, meaning you can choose what game you wish to play on that stage. The rest of the stages are strategically placed in order for your character to advance towards the finish line (or not, if you lose that stage).

More so, it is now confirmed that over 40 mini-games can be played on the WiFi multiple player mode. Now, with the betting system at hand, the Bandicoot Festival will definitely be a riot!

As we know, Crash and his crazy friends are causing a ruckus in the DS with the release of their new game, Crash Bandicoot Festival. This game will feature nothing but races and mini-games all dealing with which one of them actually gets to the top. But what's the fun of just trying to get to the top? Isn't it a lot more fun when there's betting involved? Hence, the people behind Crash Bandicoot Festival has given us a little more than the usual race game. They've also given a chance to hone our gambling skills by introducing the Betting System for Crash Bandicoot Festival!

The betting system will be using DS' Wifi connection and will be available to players who choose not to participate in a particular game. As spoken in an earlier article, the game allows different players to connect and play the games in the Festival together. However, now, players too have an option not to join in a game. Instead of playing the game, they have an option to watch their friends play and make a bet about it.

Two mini-games in Crash Bandicoot offer the betting option. One is the Crash Ball wherein the players get to be inside a ball and gather as much fruit as they can using their ball. The other game is Crash Target wherein you will get to use a slingshot to hit a target. You can task a friend to play the mini-games while you can place bets on your friend (or your friend's opponent if you know he sucks at that game). This new betting system adds another punch to this wild and crazy game!

We've loved Crash ever since we first met him in our PS. Would you believe that it's been 10 years that we've loved this crazy animal? Now, in commemoration of the game's 10th year anniversary, Crash is spinning towards the DS with a lovely new game called Crash Bandicoot Festival!

Crash Bandicoot Festival gives Crash and his friends (even his arch villains) an opportunity to go head to head with each other for the lovely price of $1,000,000. The game begins with a map wherein each stage would have different mini-games or tasks to fulfill. Most of these minigames are races to get the most coveted fruit, or canoeing down a turbulent river. From the looks of the preview, it seems that the game might take advantage of the Nintendo WiFi network in Japan. The game is compatible with Nintendo's WiFi connection. So you and your friends could actually choose your favorite Bandicoot character and beat the hell out of each other in the races! It seems that this is one of those games that kept the multiplayer gameplay in mind. So gone are the days wherein you play your handheld games to yourself. Now, with this game, you can spin, crash, slide with your friends to the finish line.

Coming out in July 27, this game would definitely hit US shores sometime soon. Certainly, we can't get enough of that crazy animal. You can view a scan of the Famitsu article as posted in this website here.
