Cooking Mama - Image 1Majesco Games wants you to know that the Cooking Mama franchise has sold 1.6 million units in the United States. From the humble beginnings of a Nintendo DS title which made full use of the handheld's features, Cooking Mama: Cook Off for the Nintendo Wii and the sequel Cooking Mama 2: Dinner with Friends on the DS were born to help elevate sales.

The success of what some people refer to as the best cooking simulator around, as Majesco CEO Jesse Sutton puts it, "has been akin to catching lightning in a bottle." Sutton noted that the combination of a unique concept, iconic main character, and gameplay execution that allow Cooking Mama titles to fully utilize the Stylus and Wii Remote have proved to work.

When all is said and done, Majesco Games hopes fans of the hot mama are excited about her fourth iteration that will grace the Wii. It's said to be a sequel Cooking Mama: Cook Off, and details are going to be announced soon. We're sure to keep you posted on any updates, so watch this space!
