One look at the scan, and we here at QJ had an inkling as to what the actual setting of Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2 would be. It turns out we were right. Atlus has revealed more details regarding the sequel, and it looks like Trauma Center fans are in for another wild ride.

According to Atlus, Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2 is set three years after Trauma Center: Second Opinion and seven years before Trauma Center: New Blood. Derek Stiles and Angie Thompson have reportedly made their way to a refugee camp in war-torn Africa for this game.

Accompanying Dr. Stiles and Nurse Thompson this time are new allies Sylvia and Adelle. Sylvia is the person in charge of the refugee camp, while Adelle is the new novice surgeon in this installment of the series.

Atlus has announced that Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2 will make its way to the Nintendo DS in Japan on August 7, 2008. Can an English version be far behind? Stay tuned for more updates on this medical simulation sequel as we get them!
