Brain AgeWith the phenomenal success of the Brain Training series in Japan, it was only a matter of time before other companies jumped on the bandwagon. Bandai Namco and Sega have both published Brain Training games in the past few months and have now announced two new titles that will see a release soon.

Unou no Tatsujin Ganbare Trainer will be seeing a release on the Nintendo DS via Bandai Namco. It will combine more than forty mini games from Gun Bullet (Point Blank in the west) along with Unou no Tatsujin (roughly translated to Right Brain Master). The game is designed to improve your accuracy, concentration, judgement, and reaction times through the Gun Bullet minigames. They are recorded on a graph.

Sony Computer Science Kenkyuushitsu Kenichiro Mogi Hakase Kanshuu Nou ni Kaiketsu Aha Taiken! will be seeing a release on the Sony PSP. It is being supervised by Kenichiro Mogi, Sony Computer Science Research Lab's senior researcher. The game will feature three different modes of play dubbed "Aha Cut," "Aha Movie," and "Aha Change." Aha Cut tests you by getting you to find changes between cut scenes in live action dramas. Aha Movie shows a movie of scenery that looks like a still picture but has something moving. You are asked to find the moving component. Aha Change just gets you to point out differences between two pictures. The game is based on the "Aha! Experience"  brain reaction where you try to find something out that you you missed before.

The chances of these games leaving Japan are pretty low. The release date for the DS title is May 18th, 2006 while the release date for the PSP title is June 22nd, 2006.
