Capcom - Image 1Acts of violence, reckless driving, poor health - the list goes on. These things have long been blamed on video games, prompting restriction, censorship, and even prohibition. Gamers are so tired of the finger-pointing and banhammering. Capcom, having been involved in the latest controversy, has gotten sick of the witch hunt, and so they speak the words that gamers would echo the world over: You cannot blame society’s ills on video games.

Really? - Image 1There has been a lot of talk about the DS systems getting a lot of shovelware, but hopefully, Marvelous' stab into the edutainment market in Japan won't be counted among them. It better not be - the publisher seems to think that it's a marvelous idea to price it at ¥ 7,980, which by the exchange rate, is equivalent to about US$ 90.

Extreme Facepalm - Image 1While professionalism has it that I reserve bashing the crap out of things, Erik Estavillo is really asking for it. Let's face it, the guy is on a suing spree from hell. Estavillo, more commonly known as "the banned Resistance player that sued Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo", is now turning his eyes to Blizzard, which is responsible for the evil moneymaker, World of Warcraft. To help make his case, he turns to Depeche Mode's Martin Lee Gore and Winona Ryder - you'll know how that "makes sense" in just a bit.

Tron Legacy - Image 1 While it's one thing to be updated with the theatrical launch of Tron Legacy, details have been pretty scarce about its accompanying video game. For now, let's help ourselves to this short teaser.

Shigeru Miyamoto - Image 1If Shigeru Miyamoto had just graduated, chances are, he won't even land a job with Nintendo. He said so himself. This is coming from a man who's way, way up the corporate ladder and is a living legend in the industry. That said, the prolific game lord looks past the prestigious on-paper creds and scouts for talent from those who came from ordinary colleges like himself.

Grandma gets a new DSi LL - Image 1When it comes to the two newest gaming portables, it seems that Nintendo walked a better path than Sony. Sure, the target market may be different in some respects, with the DSi being aimed to the elderly as well, but when it comes right down to it, the new DSi LL is selling better than the PSP Go.
